Supermarket chains

Supermarkets added imported South African products to their international food shelves. Countdown carries a few South African products and brands such as maize meal, Freshpak Rooibos, Pronutro, Peppermint Crisps and Jelly Tots. Some New World supermarkets also have South African products. A number of South African products can be found in aisles other than the international food section: Mrs Balls Chutney can be found with the other chutneys and pickles; Appletizer on the fruit juice shelves; Tennis biscuits in the biscuit aisle; and dried fruit in the bulk bins area. The wine aisle also includes some South African wines.
